Hello everyone, so I've finally managed to start the Sims 2 on VM Parallels 17 on my MacBook Pro (14-inch, 2021) with Chip Apple M1 Pro. I've finally got past MSVCP140.dll, VCRUNTIME140.dll and DirectX 9.0c problems and now the game is able to start with Lazy Duchess's Sims2RPC (it needs to be windowed or borderless to avoid the DirectX 9.0c issue).
You can still get Sims 2 Ultimate Edition without the CD key. I had recently (only 3 weeks ago) thrown away my sims 2 discs/cds when I was clearing out my home. After finding out about the sims 2 ultimate collection I contacted EA support and explained the situation. My rep was incredibly helpful and after showing her a screenshot of myThe Ultimate Collection is so so much better than the Super Collection that's offered on mac. There is loads of content that you miss out on not having the extra packs. Apartment Life, and Freetime alone add so much to this game! Not to mention the Ikea furniture and HM make CAS and Build/Buy feel much more updated.
I can't seem to get CC to work on my sims game and it doesn't seem to be working either. I've been downloading my content from TheSimsResource. Some content allows me to use the Sims 2 Package Installer and it works perfectly. The other CC that I download does not have the option to use the package installer, but the files are in .package format. The Sims 2: The Ultimate Collection was only available for free on Origin for a few years. It is not possible to buy The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection, and it never has been. If a seller is advertising The Ultimate Collection for sale, please be advised that it is not a legal copy.- Ֆ бካλըሧучιб рιድе
